Interesting enough, I had just sold my first car and I’ve always dreamed of having a E46 and I went and got one to start my journey and work towards my dream. It’s more than just a car to me but a machine that will build me, nourish me and make me smile.

The vehicle was acquired via BMW South Africa and we’ve owned the car for 20years

I had acquired the vehicle about 2 years ago and it’s been my favourite car for many years. I just thought to build on up and I loved the individual colours the cars came with.

Always wanted a 46 from small. Finally made that happen. Love to drive this car. Probably the best overall 3 series and daily bmw ever created. Had it for 6 years now and love it more all the time. Currently a Sunday driver but hopefully a daily again soon.

The way she just pulls after 4k rpm is crazy, possibly cammed
Lots of work but I got the car as a daily driver for now. After some time I do plan on making this a project. Ive always wanted to have a e36 or e46 as a drift monster, although costly I doubt I wont be able to achieve this.
Most of the work im going to do myself and can’t wait for the lessons to come out of this and the knowledge im going to learn building this baby up
From casual parking lot meets to proper track sessions — Let’s keep tabs on E46-friendly events happening around SA. If there’s a get-together, dyno day, or breakfast run, post it here. Pull up, show out, & just link up with the crew.
Here’s where I document my own E46s — the mods, fixes, fails, and fun. Just a guy with some tools, not enough time, and too much love for these cars.
SA-based parts, handpicked and shared. Stuff I’ve used, sourced locally, or trust. If it works, it’s here. If you’ve got quality spares to share, send them through.
Looking for your next ride or another project? Want to offload your ride? I try to track down E46s for sale across SA and post them here — from rolling shells to clean examples.
Whether you’re decoding your VIN, hunting OEM part numbers, diagnosing fault codes, or checking spec sheets — I’m building the most useful online tools in one place for E46 owners to wrench smarter, not harder.
